Well, Mother Nature decided that this was the week for Destin to get more rain than I have ever seen in my life, so we had a very wet and rainy 4th! It poured down rain all day long (and every day since - 10+ inches so far and it's still coming down), and all of the parades and activities around the city were cancelled. Fireworks were pending on the rain...
So we stayed home all morning and watched you tube videos of parades and patriotic songs and pictures. We even watched the 4th of July fireworks show over Walt Disney World from last year - Barrett loved it! After naps, we went over to my friend's house for a fun (indoor) BBQ. Barrett enjoyed playing with his friend Stella and we enjoyed our friends. The rain let up for a little while, and we got home just in time for Barrett to watch the fireworks from our back patio. He enjoyed watching them, but was ready to go straight to bed afterwards!
It was a fun day!
